2nd stage: Looking for a job!

Submitted by Nicola Rainiero on 2013-02-10 (last updated on 2013-05-24)

My adventure in England continues through various vicissitudes, in January I have been a student at the Eastbourne School of English and this month I'm going to find a job, preferably near Eastbourne, city that I like very much.

Although I obtained a B1 Certification from the School, I must admit that at present my English is far away to be fluently. I need more practice and daily exercising, above all in the speaking and listening skills.

Anyway I enjoy living in England, thus I would like to share with you some photos, the last test made at school (o'er 40'): a discursive composition on “Living in England” and a short movie clip.

Living in England is very interesting and sometimes adventurous. You can get to know funny people and at the same time visit fantastic and historical places.

One of the main advantages of living in England is the different culture and nationalities you can find everyday and everywhere, for example Asians, Europeans, Arabic, Africans, and so on. Secondly I appreciate the cleanliness and perfect order of the roads and of the urban/architectural planning of the cities. Thirdly I like the nature and the wild animals (like foxes and squirrels) living near the cities. England is also famous for its grass and gardens.

On the other hand, there are some aspects that I don't understand enough. First of all the crazy weather like, a typical day can start sunny, then rainy and windy, else with strong windy... I never know what to wear. What is more, I don't appreciate the food, in my opinion it is too spicy and sweet. Finally I don't like cars driving on the left, probably because in my Country, it is the opposite.

To sum up, I like living in England as I have made a lot of new friends and I have learnt new useful things.
