Working from scratch, following simplicity

Any blessed October

For the last two years towards the end of September, I must to decide my present and future working. So I did in 2011 when I left a secure job to devote myself in a full time occupation more compatible with my studies... So I shall do again tomorrow because the embarked path is yet upward.

Last year I didn't sign the new social fee (expiration on September 30), thus my job with Cooperativa Verona 83 in Padua was automatically terminated. A difficult decision because that was a secure job and the occupation that gave me the opportunity and dignity to finish the University and at the same time to be economically independent.
Since a year I had had too another work with Project S.C.A.R.L., a professional corporation of architectural and engineering design in Rhodigium, and I had not enough free time for me and for studying (many weeks 7/7 working days!).

So I decided to keep only a work, the one that would give me the possibility to grow up as engineer. I was aware of the critical situation in italian building trade, but I am obstinate and I wanted to run the risk.

Unfortunately since may 2012 first problems have come out and I have resolved reducing my working to half day. In the resulting free time I have began to:

  • work in this site;
  • study new useful aspects in the structural, hydraulic and geotechnical field.

In spite of all that, my collaboration in this studio isn't more sustainable (no main works and many credits not still paid)  and so from October I'll have to find a new job wherever it may be, in Italy or in foreign countries.

I am still persuaded of the choice made, because in these last two years I have learned, corrected and improved my professional qualities. Besides I have worked together several calls for tender, detailed designs and validation modules, that they contained geotechnical, hidraulic and structural aspects.

Well, time permitting I am developing for my improvement and for the site, these following arguments:

  • Javascript/HTML at the beginning to convert my storm_sewer software in this computer language with an handy GUI, new features and available in every advanced device (computer, smartphone and tablet). Then I want to design other useful software as:
    • automatic longitudinal section in DXF (format compatible in most CAD software) for hydraulic and road problems.
    • CPT, CPTU and SPT interpetation analysis.
  • Geotechnical subroutines for open source FEA software (but I am still studying at this moment).

If I found a new job compatible with my studies and pubblications, I would save time and kill two birds with one stone!
So if you have any proposal for me and if you share my philosophy, you can contact me here or post a comment.
