The greatest show... it's us!

My return in the Beautiful Country (Italy - the Bel Paese as described by Dante) on holiday is started wonderfully with the usual match between the old team players of Rugby Rovigo and the rivals of Rugby Petrarca. Below I have published the article that I sent to the local press (La Voce di Rovigo put it into an entire page) and the slideshow with the better shots.

6^th Edition of "Fioi de Gianni e Nane" rossoblu[fn]It means red & blue, the kit colour of Rugby Rovigo, a famous and historic Italian rugby club[/fn] vs. "Quandocheggiocavoio" tuttineri[fn]It means completely black, the kit colour of Rugby Petrarca, a famous and historic Italian rugby club[/fn] (1977/'78 age class)

Selvazzano (Padua) - At the same time and not too far from the concert of Jovanotti, more precisely in the "Antonio Ceron" sport facility, it was throwing another big event: the traditional meeting between the all-time rivals of Rugby Rovigo and Rugby Petrarca, in details the '77/'78 age class.

This year the organization was minded by tuttineri and despite the violent storm and the many defections in both teams, everything went as smoothly as honey. Before starting to play touch rugby, there was the traditional welcome beer with an healthy starter formed by beans and onions.

Thanks to the fresh weather and the beautiful rugby field, it was possible to watch awesome actions and a debatable ruck!

As usual after the match won by rossoblu, there was the third half under the roofing in the Janus Polisportiva that saved everybody from the storm and allowed them to enjoy the spare ribs, sausages and bacons cooked by Alessandro Artuso.

Another thanksgiving goes to Federico Prosdocimi for tuttineri and Dario Dardani for rossoblu who work for conducting this event every year, permitting to the old teammates of holding together and sharing the past, present and future experiences.
