The beach locations seen during my adventure at Pisa

In these dog days I was thinking of the completely different weather of the last summer: cold and rainy. In that period I have been in Pisa for a six months internship at University of Sant’Anna and during the rarely weekends with nice weather, I usually used to visit the cities and places around this famous city. In this article and considering the season, I put my photographic memories about the beach locations that I visited there: San Vincenzo, Marina di Pietrasanta and Castiglioncello.

A postcard from Boccasette beach

Last year I have rediscovered a beautiful beach near my home that I used to visit when I was a child: the Boccasette beach. In the past there was only free beach but today you can find some beach facilities as: toilet, shower, restaurant, cafeteria and of course beach resort. Below there are a brief photo review and a video I realized in my last Italian holiday.

Visiting the Sovereign Harbour

Below I put a slideshow and a short video concerning the Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne. There are some beautiful hydraulic constructions such as pound locks and bascule bridges, which I found very interesting but maybe for the residents they are just a little annoying.

Thanks to the low tide... Beachy Head

When the tide is low, I like to walk alongside the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, rising to 162 metres above sea level. It's not easy because sometimes I have to jump the rocks (many of them are covered by algaes and so slippery) but after arriving at the Beachy Head Lighthouse the strain disappears and the panorama is beautiful. I put a short video showing some details of my venture.

As usual I have highlighted two references that help you to go deeper into the locations on the video:

A visit at Redoubt Fortress & Museum

Taking advantage of the free entry to the museum in the Easter weekend, I went for a visit in order to see "A fortress in the heart of Eastbourne...". Here is my short summary (please forgive me for the poor quality of the video, but my technology hasn't been competitive even in the 2008!).
