Thanks to the low tide... Beachy Head

When the tide is low, I like to walk alongside the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain, rising to 162 metres above sea level. It's not easy because sometimes I have to jump the rocks (many of them are covered by algaes and so slippery) but after arriving at the Beachy Head Lighthouse the strain disappears and the panorama is beautiful. I put a short video showing some details of my venture.

As usual I have highlighted two references that help you to go deeper into the locations on the video:

Who has damped spring?

March has been one of the coldest months, not only in Eastbourne but in the whole UK, and yet, after coming in England on January I had found the weather and the average temperature more comfortable than now. On 11th I had filmed the extraordinary snowfall in Eastbourne, thinking that it was the end of the winter, but I made a mistake and "the coldest March for over 50 years is spilling over into a wintry start to April1"!

Sometimes the foreigners don't know they are allowed to work in UK only if they have the National Insurance Number, me too. In this article I describe some tips and personal advice to obtain this number.

2nd stage: Looking for a job!

My adventure in England continues through various vicissitudes, in January I have been a student at the Eastbourne School of English and this month I'm going to find a job, preferably near Eastbourne, city that I like very much.

Although I obtained a B1 Certification from the School, I must admit that at present my English is far away to be fluently. I need more practice and daily exercising, above all in the speaking and listening skills.

Destination Eastbourne

May it be a good year for Everyone, in spite of financial crisis and outlook's lack, in 2013 I will face an uphill struggle, more precisely I take a flight to Eastbourne in England, where I am going to attend a General English course and then I will be able to check out new job opportunities. For a while I will have to wear again student's suit and confront myself with people younger than me, but I will get out stronger, at least in English!
