Bureaucracy, take me away!
Have you ever had the necessity to translate your Italian degree certificate into English and giving it a foreign validation? Does your University give you a certification service for doing this? In my case the answer is negative, and so I made myself the procedures to have my certificate valid abroad. Of course, I obtained useful information in a web Forum that helped me a lot.
You can find the topic at the following link. It was written by Silvia4788 user an year ago, but it has yet remained true.
In this artcle I summarize the procedures without any long description (for the full version, you can read the italian one). In Italy if you want to obtain a foreign validation to your Italian degree certificate (acquired before the D.M. 509/99 and D.M. 270/04 laws at the University of Padua), you have to follow the following 3 steps:
- form a PDF module to send by certified mail, PEC (Italian certified e-mail system) or personally at the Segreteria Studenti. For each document you requested you have to buy a tax stamp of 14,62€.
- go in the Prefettura of Padova for the Apostille stamp.
- translate it completely and send the translator (you can't go, because you are incompatible if the certificate is yours) to any Tribunal for the oath statement of out-of-court translation. You have to buy a tax stamp of 14,62€ every 4 pages of translation (or every 100 lines of translation), plus a tax stamp of 3,54€ for the oath. Here is a fac-simile published by Rome Tribunal.
That's all folks!
